Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth has been on PC for over two weeks now. With a 40K concurrent player count at launch, the game comfortably sits just under 30K players. Our optimization guide details the different graphics settings and their performance/visual impact. The following guide analyzes the game’s performance on lower-end systems, most notably the GeForce RTX 3060.
Windows/System Settings to Optimize
- Enable Resizable BAR.
- Turn on Game Mode.
- Enable Hardware-accelerated GPU Scheduling (HAGS) and Windowed Optimizations.
- Use the Windows “High Performance” power profile and set your GPU power management mode to the same.
- Disable Memory Integrity. Windows Menu->VBS->Device Security.
- Ensure you use the proper XMP/EXPO memory profile (if available).
- Overclock your GPU if you’re narrowly missing the 60 FPS mark.
- Here’s a guide with more detailed instructions.

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth: Low-end PC Benchmarks
Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth performs well on budget and low-end systems. The GeForce RTX 3060 delivered a healthy 67 FPS average at 1440p “High” using DLSS performance mode upscaling. Ensure to upgrade to DLSS 4 for enhanced visuals and lower memory consumption.

The RTX 3060 averages 70 FPS at 1080p with DLSS quality mode and most graphics settings maxed out. Entering new areas may produce the occasional shader stutter, but it goes away. The RTX 4060 and 4060 Ti shouldn’t have trouble playing Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth at 1440p using the maximum quality settings, backed by mild upscaling.
VRAM Usage & CPU Bottlenecks
Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth uses nearly 10 GB of VRAM at 1080p “High” using DLSS 66% (Quality) scaling. Enabling upscaling reduces it to 8 GB, making it playable on 8 GB graphics buffers.

The game is GPU-bound even on the hex-core i5-12600KF with a Busy deviation of 0% at 1080p using the above-mentioned graphics settings.
