Marvel Rivals is Net Ease’s latest competitive F2P game to grace a player count of over 400K on Steam. After the success of “Once Human,” and “Naraka Bladepoint,” Rivals is the third AAA release from the Chinese publisher to be ranked among the top-ten entries on the platform. We have already published our optimization guide for midrange and high-end PCs. This one covers entry-level setups powered by the RTX 3060, RTX 3060 Ti, and the RTX 4060.
Windows/System Settings to Optimize
- Enable Resizable BAR.
- Turn on Game Mode.
- Enable Hardware-accelerated GPU Scheduling (HAGS) and Windowed Optimizations.
- Use the Windows “High Performance” power profile and set your GPU power management mode to the same.
- Disable Memory Integrity. Windows Menu->VBS->Device Security.
- Ensure you use the proper XMP/EXPO memory profile (if available).
- Overclock your GPU if you’re narrowly missing the 60 FPS mark.
- Here’s a guide with more detailed instructions.

Marvel Rivals: Low-end PC Benchmarks
Marvel Rivals delivers satisfactory performance on budget PCs. The GeForce RTX 3060 + Ryzen 5 5600 combo averages slightly over 60 FPS at 1080p “Ultra.” Disabling “Lumen GI” increases the framerate to 113 FPS, and further enabling frame generation boosts it to 169 FPS. The takeaway is that 144 FPS or higher requires enabling frame generation.
The Alienware x14 featuring the GeForce RTX 4060 laptop GPU and the Core i7-13260H fares better. We observed an average of 60 FPS using a combination of mostly “Ultra” settings with DLSS “Balanced.” Reducing the resolution to 1080p increases the average FPS to 84 FPS. Once again, frame generation is essential for playing the game at 144 FPS or above.
VRAM Usage & CPU Bottlenecks
Marvel Rivals uses 9.5-10 GB of graphics memory at 1080p “Ultra” with frame generation enabled. Disabling Lumen reduces the VRAM usage to 8.5 GB while switching to SSGI reduces it to 7.7 GB. Either way, you should be good with an 8 GB graphics card.
Marvel Rivals is GPU-bound even on midrange gaming notebooks. We observed an average GPU-Busy deviation of 4% on the Alienware x14 at 1080p “Ultra” with upscaling set to balanced mode.
